Spend on your Ackermans Account and Stand to Win a Car

The promoters of the Competition are Ackermans and Tenacity Financial Services, divisions of Pepkor Trading (Pty) Ltd, who will be jointly responsible for the Competition (“the Promoters”). 

The name of the Competition is “Spend on your Ackermans Account and Stand to Win a Car” (“the Competition"). 

The Competition will run from Thursday, 30 October 2025 to Wednesday, 31 December 2025 (both days included) ("the Competition Period"). 

Competition only valid in South Africa (“Participating Country”). 

To be eligible to be entered into the Competition, a person must be an existing Ackermans account holder in the Participating Country or become an Ackermans account holder by opening an Ackermans account in the Participating Country during the Competition Period. 

Customers who meet the criteria in clause 5 above and make a purchase of any value at any Ackermans store in the Participating Country on their Ackermans account during the Competition Period will automatically be entered into the Competition (“Participants”).  

Entry is free and Participants may enter multiple times. Participants may only win one prize in this Competition irrespective of the number of entries. 

Participants stand a chance to win a Volkswagen Polo Vivo Hatch 1.4 (“the Prize”). 

One (1) winner will be randomly selected via a computer operated draw on 6 January 2026. 

By accepting any prize (if you are a winner), you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. 

The Promoters reserves the right to exclude a Participant from this Competition or to withhold payment of a prize to a winner should the Promoters become aware that a Participant is: 

 a director, member, business partner, employee, agent or consultant of the Pepkor group of companies, its affiliates/divisions/subsidiaries or any other person who supplies goods or services in connection with the Competition. 

a spouse, life partner, parent, child or sibling, immediate family member, business partner or associate of the persons specified above. 

The Prize in this Competition is non-transferable and not exchangeable for cash. 

The winner will be notified via phone call to the cell phone number on record for their Ackermans account.  

The Promoter will endeavour to contact the winner at least once a day for 3 (three) consecutive business days (excluding a Saturday, Sunday or recognised public holiday in the Participating Country) after their name is drawn. If the winner cannot be contacted during this period for whatever reason including technical problems, the Prize will be forfeited, and the Promoters will select a new winner. The winner will have no right to claim against the Promoter in event of forfeiture of the Prize due to inability of the Promoter to establish contact with the winner.  

The Promoters will arrange with the winner to receive the prize at a convenient dealership at a reasonable time.  

The winner must allow the Promoter a reasonable period, to arrange for the car to be registered, licensed in their names and delivered. They must provide the Promoter with all information and original documentation required for this purpose, including an identity document, together with a valid South African driver’s licence, and a valid proof of residence. 

If the winner is unable to provide such information or documentation within 48 (forty-eight) hours of the information being requested, the winner will forfeit the Prize, and the Promoters will select a new winner. The winner will have no right to claim against the Promoter in event of forfeiture of the Prize due to failure to timeously provide the required documentation. 

The winner will be responsible to get themselves to the Prize handover ceremonies. 

The Promoters and their delivery agent do not accept responsibility or liability for any loss or damage and will also not be responsible or liable for any further expenses or fees required for the purpose of using, applying or enjoying the Prize won in this Competition. 

The Promoters reserves the right to refuse the payment of a prize to any winner, regardless of the successful entry into the Competition, who it decides (in its sole discretion) has violated the terms and conditions of this Competition, or who has participated herein using suspected fraudulent means or dishonest information. 

The Promoters reserves the right to vary, suspend, postpone or terminate the competition and any prizes, or any aspect thereof, for any reasons whatsoever and without notice. In such event, you hereby waive any rights or expectations which you may have against the Promoters and acknowledge that you will not have any recourse or claim of any nature against the Promoters.
