“Stand to win R20k cash when you get a Capfin loan at Ackermans” Competition
Terms and Conditions
1. The name of the competition is “Stand to win R20k cash when you get a Capfin loan at Ackermans” (“the Competition”).
2. The promoter of the Competition is Capfin & Ackermans, divisions of Pepkor Trading (Pty) Ltd (collectively referred to as “the Promoter”).
3. The Competition will run from Saturday, 1 August 2026 to Thursday, 30 September 2027 (both days included) (“the Competition Period”).
4. To be eligible to enter the Competition, a person must, during the Competition Period, apply for a Capfin loan:
4.1. via the Ackermans website; or
4.2. in any participating Ackermans store located in the Republic of South Africa ("participating Ackermans store"); or
4.3. telephonically, after being contacted by the Capfin in response to a request for a call back originating from any participating Ackermans store.
5. Any person who meets the criteria in clause 4 above, whose Capfin loan application is approved during the Competition Period and paid out by latest Friday 1 October 2027 at 11h00 ("Qualifying Loan"), will automatically be entered into the Competition ("Participant").
6. Entry is free but standard SMS and data rates may apply to loan applications. Participants will only be entered into the Competition once, regardless of the number of Qualifying Loans a Participant may obtain during the Competition Period and may only win one prize in the Competition.
7. Participants stand a chance to be 1 (one) of 14 (fourteen) winners to win a monetary prize to the value of R20 000 (Twenty Thousand Rand) each.
8. Winners will be selected as follows:
8.1 A Participant will only be included in the monthly draw for the month in which the Participant's first Qualifying Loan was approved (i.e. Participants whose Qualifying Loan was approved in August 2026 will only be included for the draw in September 2026 and so on).
8.2. 1 (one) winner will be selected each month by way of a computer-operated draw
8.3. The monthly draws will take place as follows:
8.3.1. Draw 1: 8 September 2026;
8.3.2. Draw 2: 8 October 2026;
8.3.3. Draw 3: 5 November 2026;
8.3.4. Draw 4: 7 December 2026;
8.3.5. Draw 5: 11 January 2027;
8.3.6. Draw 6: 8 February 2027;
8.3.7. Draw 7: 8 March 2027;
8.3.8. Draw 8: 8 April 2027;
8.3.9. Draw 9: 7 May 2027;
8.3.10. Draw 10: 8 June 2027;
8.3.11. Draw 11: 8 July 2027;
8.3.12. Draw 12: 6 August 2027;
8.3.13. Draw 13: 8 September 2027;
8.3.14. Draw 14: 8 October 2027.
9. The Promoter will notify the winner that they have won by the latest on the 15th of each month via SMS to the cell phone number on record with Capfin. If winners cannot be reached their prize will still be paid by means of an electronic transfer to the SA bank account on record for their Capfin account by the 25th of each month at the latest, which will reflect in the winner’s SA bank account upon processing of the transaction by the bank.
10. By accepting any prize (if you are a winner), you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
11. The Promoter reserves their right to exclude a Participant from this Competition or to withhold payment of a prize to a winner should the Promoter become aware that a Participant is:
11.1. a director, business partner (in relation to the Competition), employee, agent or consultant of the Pepkor group of companies, its affiliates/divisions or subsidiaries or any other person who supplies goods or services in connection with the Competition; or
11.2. a spouse, life partner, parent, child or sibling, immediate family member, business partner or associate of the persons specified above.
12. All prizes in the Competition are non-transferable.
13. The Promoter does not accept responsibility for or liability for any loss or damage and will also not be responsible or liable for any further expenses or fees required for the purpose of participating in the Competition or using and enjoying the prize won in this Competition unless otherwise stated in the Competition terms and conditions.
14. The Promoter reserves the right to refuse the payment of a prize to any winner, regardless of successful entry into the Competition, who it decides (in its sole discretion) has violated the terms and conditions of the Competition, or who has participated herein using suspected fraudulent means or dishonest information.
15. Winners give Capfin and Ackermans consent to use their names for the Competition which may include the announcement of the winners on national radio stations, social media platforms, YouTube, print and digital publication platforms, unless refused.
16.The Promoter reserves the right to vary, suspend, postpone or terminate the Competition and any prizes, or any aspect thereof, for any reasons whatsoever and without notice. In such event, you hereby waive any rights or expectations which you may have against the Promoter and acknowledge that you will not have any recourse or claim of any nature against the Promoter.
