Register for Sim Swap & WIN” Competition
Terms and Conditions
1. The promoter of the Competition is Ackermans, a division of Pepkor Trading (Pty) Ltd (“Ackermans”).
2. The name of the Competition is “Register for Sim Swap & WIN” (“the Competition").
3. The Competition will run from 1 August 2026 to 30 September 2026 (both days included) ("the Competition Period").
4. The participating countries are South Africa. (“Participating Countries”).
5. To enter the Competition, participants must be +more Rewards members.
6. Customers in South Africa who meet the criteria in clause 5 above and who do the following during the Competition Period will be entered into the Competition:
6.1. Register for Sim Swap at Ackermans (refer to the +more Rewards terms and conditions, clause 12); and
6.2. Scan your digital +more Rewards card.
7. Entry is free.
8. Participants stand a chance to be one (1) of ten (10) winners every month (August & September) who will each win a Samsung A24.
9. Ten (10) winners will be randomly selected every month via a computer operated draw.
10. By accepting any prize (if you are a winner), you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
11. The Promoter reserves the right to exclude a Participant from this Competition or to withhold the prize to a winner should the Promoter become aware that a Participant is:
11.1. a director, member, business partner, employee, agent or consultant of the Pepkor group of companies, its affiliates/divisions/subsidiaries or any other person who supplies goods or services in connection with the Competition; or
11.2. a spouse, life partner, parent, child or sibling, immediate family member, business partner or associate of the persons specified above.
12. Winners will be notified that they have won by latest 20th of each month after the draw.
13. The Promoter and their delivery agent do not accept responsibility or liability for any loss or damage and will also not be responsible or liable for any further expenses or fees required for the purpose of using, applying or enjoying the prize won in this Competition.
14. The Promoter reserves the right to refuse the payment of a prize to any winner, regardless of the successful entry into the Competition, who it decides (in its sole discretion) has violated the terms and conditions of this Competition, or who has participated herein using suspected fraudulent means or dishonest information.
15. The Promoter reserves the right to vary, suspend, postpone or terminate the competition and any prizes, or any aspect thereof, for any reasons whatsoever and without notice. In such event, you hereby waive any rights or expectations which you may have against the Promoter and acknowledge that you will not have any recourse or claim of any nature against the Promoter.
16. Your privacy is very important to Ackermans and the Pepkor group of companies and it will use all reasonable efforts in order to ensure that any information, including personal information, provided by you, or which is collected from you, is stored in a secure manner. For more information, please refer to the detailed version of our Privacy Statement.
17. You agree to provide Pepkor with accurate and current information and to maintain and update such information when necessary. The information collected by Pepkor may be used to send you information about products, services, and special offers of the various companies in the Pepkor group that may be of interest or value to you. The information may also be processed by Ackermans and other companies in the Pepkor group, any of their operators, agents and subcontractors (who may be outside South Africa) on the condition that they will keep such information confidential.
18. You acknowledge that any information supplied to Ackermans and the Pepkor group of companies in terms of these Terms and Conditions are provided voluntarily.
19. By submitting any information to Ackermans and the Pepkor group of companies in any form you further acknowledge that such conduct constitutes an unconditional, specific and voluntary consent to the processing of such information by Ackermans and the Pepkor group of companies under any applicable law in the manner contemplated above, which consent shall, in the absence of any written objection received from you, be indefinite and/or for the period otherwise required in terms of any applicable law.
20. Unless you have consented, Ackermans and the Pepkor group of companies will not sell, exchange, transfer, rent or otherwise make available any personal information about you (such as name, address, email address, telephone or fax number) to other parties and you indemnify Ackermans and the Pepkor group of companies from any unintentional disclosures of such information to unauthorized persons.
21. Should you believe that Ackermans and the Pepkor group of companies has utilised your personal information contrary to applicable law, you shall first resolve any concerns with Ackermans and the Pepkor group of companies. If you are not satisfied with such a process, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator.
22. You can choose to be excluded from direct marketing by notifying Ackermans in writing or by registering a block on any registry which Ackermans is bound by law to recognise. Ackermans will not charge you a fee to update this request on its systems. Ackermans will give effect to any changes requested by you as soon as reasonably possible.
