Ts and Cs apply:
1. The promoters of the Competition are Ackermans and Tenacity Financial Services, a division of Pepkor Trading (Pty) Ltd, Ackermans Namibia (Pty) Ltd and Ackermans Botswana (Pty) Ltd respectively (collectively referred to herein as “the Promoters”).
2. The name of the Competition is “Ackermans Account Card – Shop Back to School & Stand a Chance to Win Your Account Balance Settled” (“the Competition").
3. The Competition will run from Monday, 29 December 2025 until Saturday, 1 February 2026 (both days included) ("the Competition Period").
4. The Competition is open to customers within South Africa, Namibia and Botswana (“Participating Countries”).
5. Customers who, during the Competition Period, make a purchase of any value specifically for items marked as “Back To School” items at any Ackermans in the Participating Countries, using their Ackermans account (“First Qualifying Purchase”), will automatically be entered into the Competition (“Participants”).
6. Participants who, during the Competition Period and in addition to the First Qualifying Purchase, make purchases of R500 / N$500 / P500 or more, specifically for items marked as “Back to School” items (‘Additional Qualifying Purchase”) using their Ackermans account, at any Ackermans in the Participating Countries, shall receive an additional entry into the Competition. Each Additional Qualifying Purchase shall result in an additional entry for a Participant.
7. Entry is free and Participants may enter multiple times. Participants may only win one prize in this Competition irrespective of the number of entries.
8. Participants stand a chance to have their account balances settled. If the account balance on date of settlement exceeds the amount outstanding on the Participant’s Ackermans account as at 23h59 on 31 January 2026 (“Qualifying Account Balance”) settlement will be limited to the Qualifying Account Balance.
9. Ten (10) winners will be randomly selected via a computer operated draw on 06 February 2026.
10. By accepting any prize (if you are a winner), you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
11. The Promoters reserves the right to exclude a Participant from this Competition or to withhold payment of a prize to a winner should the Promoters become aware that a Participant is:
11.1. a director, member, business partner, employee, agent or consultant of the Pepkor group of companies, its affiliates/divisions/subsidiaries or any other person who supplies goods or services in connection with the Competition;
11.2. a spouse, life partner, parent, child or sibling, immediate family member, business partner or associate of the persons specified in 11.1 above.
12. All prizes in this competition are non-transferable and not exchangeable for cash.
13. Winners will be notified by the 16 February via SMS to the cell phone number on record for their Ackermans account. If winners cannot be reached, their Ackermans Account balance amount will still be settled by no later than 28 February 2026.
14. The Promoters do not accept responsibility or liability for any loss or damage and will also not be responsible or liable for any further expenses or fees required for the purpose of using, applying or enjoying the prize won in this Competition.
15. The Promoters reserve the right to refuse the payment of a prize to any winner, regardless of the successful entry into the Competition, who it decides (in its sole discretion) has violated the terms and conditions of this Competition, or who has participated herein using suspected fraudulent means or dishonest information.
16. The Promoters reserves the right to vary, suspend, postpone or terminate the Competition and any prizes, or any aspect thereof, for any reasons whatsoever and without notice. In such event, you hereby waive any rights or expectations which you may have against the Promoters and acknowledge that you will not have any recourse or claim of any nature against the Promoters.
