Shop your Samsung deals at selected Ackermans stores this week and you could win R10 000 cash on the spot!

1. The promoter of the giveaway is Ackermans, a division of Pepkor Trading (Pty) Ltd (“the Promoter”).

2. The name of the competition is “Shop your Samsung deals at selected Ackermans stores this week and you could win R10 000 cash on the spot!” (“the Giveaway”).

3. The Giveaway will run from 28 August – 06 September 2026, both days inclusive (“the Giveaway Period”).

4. By entering the Giveaway and/or accepting any prize (if you are a winner), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

5. The Giveaway is open to all participants within the Republic of South Africa who are:

   • South African citizens in possession of a valid South African ID book or card; or

   • South African residents in possession of a valid South African permanent residency permit.

   You are not eligible to participate in this Giveaway if:

   5.1. You are a director, member, partner, employee, agent, or consultant of the Pepkor group of companies, its affiliates, divisions or subsidiaries, or any other person who supplies goods or services in connection with the Giveaway.

   5.2. You are a spouse, life partner, parent, child, sibling, immediate family member, business partner or associate of any of the persons specified above.

6. The first ten (10) customers who purchase a Samsung device from a participating store during the Giveaway Period will be entered into the Giveaway (“Participants”). One (1) winner will be selected per participating store to win the R10 000 prize.

7. The participating stores are:

   • Ackermans George

   • Ackermans Grabouw

   • Ackermans Durban West Street, Brittania Building

   • Ackermans Westonaria

   • Ackermans Carltonville

   • Ackermans JHB Pan Africa Junction

   • Ackermans Acornhoek

   • Ackermans JHB Cosmo Mall

   • Ackermans Tzaneen Crossing

   • Ackermans PE Motherwell

8. Entry is free, and Participants may enter only once.

9. Participants may win only one prize in the Giveaway.

10. Participants stand a chance to win R10 000 cash (“the Prize”).

11. Ten (10) winners will each win R10 000 after purchasing a Samsung device at a participating Ackermans store. One (1) winner will be selected per participating store.

12. By accepting the Prize, each winner agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

13. In addition to any other verification requirements set out in these Terms and Conditions, the Promoter may require a Prize winner to complete and submit an information disclosure agreement and indemnification, as well as provide an email address, a copy of their valid South African ID or passport, and proof of account in the form of a bank confirmation letter not older than three (3) months. This information may be required to enable the Promoter to ensure compliance with these Terms and Conditions and the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008. Should any winner refuse or be unable to comply with these requirements for any reason, such winner will be deemed to have rejected the Prize, and the Prize will revert to the Promoter.

14. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who enters using false information or by robotic, automated or similar means.

15. All Prizes in this Giveaway are non-transferable.

16. Winners will be notified telephonically. If a winner cannot be reached after three (3) attempts at reasonable intervals within three (3) business days, an alternative winner may be selected.

17. Ackermans and its delivery agents do not accept responsibility or liability for any loss or damage and will not be responsible or liable for any further expenses or fees required for the purpose of using, applying for, or enjoying the Prize won in this Giveaway.

18. Winners give Ackermans and its authorised agents consent to use their names for publicity purposes, unless a winner expressly refuses such consent.

19. The Promoter reserves the right to vary, suspend, postpone or terminate the Giveaway and/or any Prizes, or any aspect thereof, for any reason whatsoever and without notice. In such event, you waive any rights or expectations which you may have against the Promoter and acknowledge that you will have no recourse or claim of any nature against the Promoter.

20. Your privacy is important to the Promoter and the Pepkor group of companies. The Promoter will use all reasonable efforts to ensure that any information, including personal information, provided by you or collected from you, is processed in a secure and compliant manner. 21. You agree to provide Pepkor with accurate and current information and to maintain and update such information when necessary. The information collected by Pepkor may be used to send you information about products, services and special offers from the various companies within the Pepkor group that may be of interest or value to you. The Promoter and other companies within the Pepkor group may also process the information through their operators, agents and subcontractors, including those who may be located outside South Africa, provided that such processing is conducted in a compliant manner, including maintaining the confidentiality of such information.

22. You acknowledge that any information supplied to the Promoter and the Pepkor group of companies in terms of these Terms and Conditions is provided voluntarily.

23. By submitting any information to the Promoter and the Pepkor group of companies in any form, you further acknowledge that such conduct constitutes unconditional, specific and voluntary consent to the processing of such information by the Promoter and the Pepkor group of companies under any applicable law in the manner contemplated above. Such consent shall, in the absence of any written objection received from you, be indefinite and/or for the period otherwise required in terms of any applicable law.

24. Unless you have consented, the Promoter and the Pepkor group of companies will not sell, exchange, transfer, rent or otherwise make available any personal information about you, such as your name, address, email address, telephone number or fax number, to other parties. You indemnify the Promoter and the Pepkor group of companies against any unintentional disclosure of such information to unauthorised persons.

25. Should you believe that the Promoter or the Pepkor group of companies has utilised your personal information contrary to applicable law, you shall first attempt to resolve your concerns with the Promoter or the Pepkor group of companies. If you are not satisfied with the outcome of such process, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator.

26. You may choose to be excluded from direct marketing by notifying the Promoter in writing or by registering a block on any registry which the Promoter is legally bound to recognise. The Promoter will not charge you a fee to update this request on its systems and will give effect to any changes requested as soon as reasonably possible.
