Terms and Conditions - “WIN tickets to the MTN8 Semi Final” Social media Competition
1. The promoters of the competition are Ackermans a divisions of Pepkor Trading (Pty) Ltd and MTN ("the Promoter").
2. The name of the Competition is “WIN tickets to the MTN8 Semi Final (“the Competition").
3. The Competition will run from 08 August to 10 August 2025 (both days included) ("the Competition Period").
4. By entering the Competition, all participants and winners agree to be bound by these terms and conditions which will be interpreted by the Promoter, whose decision regarding any dispute will be final and binding and no correspondence shall be entered into regarding the decision. The Promoter reserves the right to amend, modify, change, postpone, suspend or cancel this Competition and any prizes, or any aspect thereof, without notice at any time, for any reason that the Promoter reasonably deems necessary.
5. Participants stand a chance to win 1 of 4 (four) ticket bundles (5 tickets per winner) to watch the MTN8 Semi Final match.
6. The tickets are general tickets and only valid on the day of the match.
6.1. Two (2) prizes, each consisting of five (5) tickets to the Orlando Pirates vs Mamelodi Sundowns match at Orlando Stadium at 3pm SAST on Saturday, 16 August 2025
6.2. Two (2) prizes, each consisting of five (5) tickets to the Sekhukhune United vs Stellenbosch FC match at Danie Craven Stadium at 6pm SAST, 16 August 2025
7. The Competition is open to all participants 18 (eighteen) years or older at the time of entering the competition within the Republic of South Africa that are South African citizens (in possession of a valid South African ID book or card) and South African residents (in possession of a valid South African permanent residency permit).
8. You are not eligible to participate in this competition if: -
a. You are a director, member, partner, employee, agent or consultant of Ackermans and its affiliates/divisions/subsidiaries or any other person who supplies goods or services in connection with the competition;
b. You are a spouse, life partner, parent, child or sibling, immediate family member, business partner or associate of the persons specified above.
9. To enter the Competition participants will need to do the following during the Competition Period to qualify for an automatic entry to the Competition (“Participants”):
a. Tell us which team you would like to watch live (in the Comment section)
b. Use the hashtag # to specify which region you would like to win tickets to: #Soweto #Stellenbosch
10. Entry into the competition is free and participants may enter multiple times during the competition period, provided that participants complete the Competition entry steps set out in clause 9 above.
11. All prizes in the competition are not transferable or exchangeable for cash.
12. Winners are required to collect their tickets from the following Ackermans stores during store operating hours
a. Stellenbosch: Ackermans Eikestad Mall
b. Soweto: Ackermans Maponya Mall
13. Four (4) winners will be randomly selected via a computer operated draw on 11 August.
14. Winners will be notified via Facebook Messenger. If winners cannot be reached after 2 attempts at reasonable intervals within 1 working day, an alternative winner will be drawn.
15. Winners have 1 (one) working day from being contacted to submit their details for verification to claim the Prize.
16. In addition to any other the verification requirements set out in these terms and conditions, the Promoter may require the Prize winner to complete and submit an information disclosure agreement and indemnification, as well as supply a certified copy of their valid South African ID or Passport with their endorsed residence permit within 24 (twenty four) hours of being confirmed a winner, to enable the Promoters to ensure compliance with these terms and conditions and the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008. Should any winner refuse or be unable to comply with this for any reason, such winner will be deemed to have rejected the prize and it shall revert back to the Promoter.
17. The Promoters reserve the right to disqualify any entrant who enters using false information by robotic, automated or like means.
18. The Promoters and their delivery agent does not accept responsibility or liability for any loss or damage and will also not be responsible or liable for any further expenses or fees required for the purpose of using, applying or enjoying the prize won in this competition.
19. Winners give the Promoters and its authorised agents consent to use their images for publicity purposes, unless refused.
20. The Promoters reserve the right to vary, suspend, postpone or terminate the competition and any prizes, or any aspect thereof, for any reasons whatsoever and without notice. In such event, you hereby waive any rights or expectations which you may have against the Promoters and acknowledge that you will not have any recourse or claim of any nature against them.
21. By participating in this competition, you consent to (i) the processing of your personal information by the Promoters and other companies in the Pepkor group of companies (www.pepkor.co.za), any of their operators, agents and sub-contractors (who may be outside South Africa) on the condition that they will keep such information confidential; (ii) the collection of your personal information from any other source to supplement the personal information which the Promoters have about you; (iii) the retention by the Promoters of your personal information for as long as permitted for legal, regulatory, fraud prevention and marketing purposes; (iv) The Promoters using your personal information to send you information about products, services, and special offers of the various companies in the Pepkor group that may be of interest or value to you.
22. You can choose to be excluded from direct marketing by notifying the Promoters in writing or by registering a block on any registry which the Promoters is bound by law to recognise. The Promoters will not charge you a fee to update this request on its systems and will give effect to any changes requested by you as soon as reasonably possible.
