Terms & Conditions
1. The promoter of the competition is Ackermans a division of Pepkor Trading (Pty) Ltd (Ackermans) (“the Promoter”).
2. The name of the competition is "Win a R1000 Ackermans voucher” (“the Competition”).
3. The Competition will run from 1 September 2025 – 30 November 2025 (both days included) (“the Competition Period”).
4. You understand that all information (including these Terms and Conditions) relating to this Competition published on any promotional or advertising material or on our website at any time before or during the Competition period will form part of the Terms and Conditions of entry.
5. The Promoter also has the right to withdraw from this Competition before the final draw.
6. The Promoter takes no responsibility for entries that were not received for whatever reason.
7. By entering the competition and/or accepting any prize (if you are a winner), you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
8. To automatically be entered into the competition and stand a chance to win, participants will need to do the following:
8.1. Purchase any Voucher (1Voucher, OTT, Hollywoodbets, Betway) from any Ackermans store and top-up any partner account.
9. You are not eligible to participate in this Competition if:
9.1 You are a director, member, partner employee, agent or consultant of Ackermans, or its affiliates/divisions/subsidiaries or any other person who supplies goods or services in connection with the competition; or
9.2 You are a spouse, life partner, parent, child or sibling, immediate family member, business partner or associate of the persons specified above.
10. Winners will win 1 (one) of 200 (two hundred) R1000 Ackermans virtual vouchers (“the Prize”).
11. Winners will be selected by means of a random computer operated draw and will be announced by 12 of December 2025.
12. Each winner will only be eligible to win one R1000 Ackermans voucher for the duration of the Competition irrespective of the number of entries.
13. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute, change or exchange any prize with another prize of similar commercial value without notice, in their sole discretion. Yo
14. u will not have a claim against the Promoter in this event.
15. The Prize is not transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
16. The Prizes will be sent directly to the cellphone number of the winner provided
17. The draw will take place no later than 2 weeks after the end of the campaign.
18. If you are selected as a winner, you will receive an SMS / Call and you agree that Ackermans may contact you.
19. Ackermans reserves the right to verify, by whatever means necessary, your eligibility to participate in this Competition.
20. If the drawn winner cannot be contacted within two weeks of the draw date, they will forfeit the Prize, and a new winner will be selected. The ineligible winner will have no claim of any nature whatsoever against Ackermans, their directors, affiliates, members, partners, employees, sponsors, agents, or consultants.
21. If you receive a prize, Ackermans may request to publish your name and photograph at no cost to you, for any advertising, promotional, print, point of sale or public relations material for a period of 12 (twelve) months from the end of the Competition Period. You are entitled to say no to this request.
22. Ackermans reserves the right to vary, suspend, postpone, or terminate the competition and any prizes, or any aspect thereof, for any reasons whatsoever and without notice. In such event, you hereby waive any rights or expectations which you may have against Ackermans and acknowledge that you will not have any recourse or claim of any nature against Ackermans.
23. Your privacy is very important to Ackermans and the Pepkor group of companies and it will use all reasonable efforts in order to ensure that any information, including personal information, provided by you, or which is collected from you, is stored in a secure manner. For more information, please refer to our Privacy Statement.
24. You agree to provide Pepkor with accurate and current information and to maintain and update such information when necessary. The information collected by Pepkor may be used to send you information about products, services, and special offers of the various companies in the Pepkor group that may be of interest or value to you. The information may also be processed by Ackermans and other companies in the Pepkor group, any of their operators, agents, and sub-contractors (who may be outside South Africa) on the condition that they will keep such information confidential.
25. You acknowledge that any information supplied to Ackermans and the Pepkor group of companies in terms of these Terms and Conditions is provided voluntarily.
26. By submitting any information to Ackermans and the Pepkor group of companies in any form you further acknowledge that such conduct constitutes an unconditional, specific and voluntary consent to the processing of such information by Ackermans and the Pepkor group of companies under any applicable law in the manner contemplated above, which consent shall, in the absence of any written objection received from you, be indefinite and/or for the period otherwise required in terms of any applicable law.
27. Unless you have consented, Ackermans and the Pepkor group of companies will not sell, exchange, transfer, rent or otherwise make available any personal information about you (such as name, address, email address, telephone, or fax number) to other parties and you indemnify Ackermans and the Pepkor group of companies from any unintentional disclosures of such information to unauthorized persons.
28. Should you believe that Ackermans and the Pepkor group of companies has utilised your personal information contrary to applicable law, you shall first resolve any concerns with Ackermans and the Pepkor group of companies. If you are not satisfied with such a process, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator.
29. You can choose to be excluded from direct marketing by notifying Ackermans in writing or by registering a block on any registry which Ackermans is bound by law to recognise. Ackermans will not charge you a fee to update this request on its systems. Ackermans will give effect to any changes requested by you as soon as reasonably possible.
