Ackermans Magazine Voucher Giveaway

Voucher giveaway competition rules: 

  1. All competitions advertised in the Ackermans magazine are open to current Ackermans A. Rewards club members only or otherwise stated. Members will qualify to win a prize only if their Ackermans accounts are not in arrears at the time that winners are selected. Winners will be drawn randomly at the end of each competition period from all Ackermans A. Rewards club members whose account is up to date.

  2. Directors, members, partners, employees or agents of or consultants to anyone associated with the organisation of these competitions or a spouse, life partner, business partner, associate or family member of such a person are not eligible. 
  3. The prizes are as described and may not be exchanged for cash or transferred. The judges’ decisions are final and no correspondence will be entered into. Competition winners are published in the Club Magazine. Should we be unable to contact the winner after 3 attempts, the winner will have 3 months from date of competition closure to claim their prize using the contact number provided. Unclaimed prizes will be forfeited. All winners may be asked to produce their ID documents and Ackermans cards when claiming their prizes. 

  4. Ackermans and their delivery agent does not accept responsibility or liability for any loss or damage and will also not be responsible or liable for any further expenses or fees required for purpose of using, applying or enjoying the prize won in this competition.

  5. Winners give Ackermans and its authorized agents consent to use their names for publicity purposes, unless refused.

  6. Ackermans reserves the right to vary, suspend, postpone or terminate the competition and any prizes, or any aspect thereof, for any reasons whatsoever and without notice. In such event, you hereby waive any rights or expectations which you may have against Ackermans and acknowledge that you will not have any recourse or claim of any nature against Ackermans

  7. The Ackermans A. Rewards Club is only available if you are an Ackermans Account holder and currently residing in South Africa.

A. Rewards Club Charity Competition

  1. Ackermans A. Rewards club members can nominate a registered charity to stand a chance to win R5000. One charity will be chosen per month who will receive R5000 cash from Ackermans. Only charities that are registered will qualify for the nomination. The winning charity will be chosen at the end of each month when a magazine is published. That is a total of 8 charities per year that will benefit. 

  2. To enter the charity you have to describe what the charity does and why you support it. You have to include your Ackermans account number, a photo of yourself and contact details for you and the charity. All nominations has to be sent to The Editor, Ackermans letter, PO Box 440, Green Point 8051 or emailed to Leanne@newmediapub.co.za.

Valentine’s Day competition

  1. The Valentine’s Day competition is open to all and runs from 9th of February 2018 to the 12th of February 2018 on Facebook.

  2. To enter tell us who you would treat to lunch this Valentine’s Day and why. Share your answer in the comments section of the competition post. 
  3. The 10 winners will be selected randomly and overseen by an independent  auditor on the 14th of February 2018 from all entries received during the competition period. 

  4. Each winner will receive a Spur virtual voucher to the value of R500, sent to them via sms to their provided cellphone numbers.

  5. The prize is not transferable for cash. The prizes are as described and may not be transferred. The draw of the winners is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

  6. You are not eligible to participate in this competition if: -

    a. You are a director, member, partner, employee, agent or consultant of the STAR Group of companies, its affiliates/divisions/subsidiaries or any other person who supplies goods or services in connection with the competition;
    b. You are a spouse, life partner, parent, child or sibling, immediate family member, business partner or associate of the persons specified in 6(a) above;

  7. Winners will be notified and contacted via Facebook messaging to obtain their cellphone numbers to receive their prize.

  8. Should winners not be contactable via Facebook through instant messaging, after 3 attempts and 3 days have passed, will result in their entry being declared void. Alternative winners will then be drawn.

  9. Ackermans and their delivery agent does not accept responsibility or liability for any loss or damage and will also not be responsible or liable for any further expenses or fees required for purpose of using, applying or enjoying the prize won in this competition.

  10. Winners give Ackermans and its authorized agents consent to use their names for publicity purposes, unless refused.

Spend & Receive a R150 credit on your Ackermans Account

  1. The name of the campaign is Spend & Receive a R150 credit on your Ackermans Account.

  2. The promotion will run from 16 February 2018 – 31 March 2018 and is applicable to all customers invited to take part of this offer by SMS’s, email or telephone calls. 
  3. By taking up this offer you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. 

  4. A certain group of customers will receive one of 2 offers which are applicable to purchases made between 16 February – 31 March 2018:

    a. R150 credit on their first purchase of R500 made on their Ackermans account

    b. R150 credit on their first purchase of R400 made on their Ackermans account .

  5. The Ackermans accounts of the qualifiers will be credited once a week.

  6. Each customer will only qualify for one credit of R150.

  7. The promotion is only open to customers within South Africa. You are not eligible to participate in this competition if: -

    a. You are a director, member, partner, employee, agent or consultant of the Pepkor Group of companies, its affiliates/divisions/subsidiaries or any other person who supplies goods or services in connection with the competition;

    b. You are a spouse, life partner, parent, child or sibling, immediate family member, business partner or associate of the persons specified in  7(a) above;.

  8. Prizes cannot be exchanged for cash

  9. Customer accounts, which are in arrears at the time of processing the credit, will not qualify for this offer.

  10. Customer accounts, which are in negative standing at the time of processing the credit, will not qualify for this offer.

  11. Customers that qualify give Ackermans and its authorized agents consent to use their names for publicity purposes, unless refused

  12. Ackermans reserves the right to vary, suspend, postpone or terminate the promotion and any prizes, or any aspect thereof, for any reasons whatsoever and without notice. In such event, you hereby waive any rights or expectations which you may have against Ackermans and acknowledge that you will not have any recourse or claim of any nature against Ackermans.

  13. By taking this promotion, you consent to (i) the processing of your personal information by Ackermans and other companies in the Pepkor group, any of their operators, agents and sub-contractors (who may be outside South Africa) on the condition that they will keep such information confidential;  (ii) the collection of your personal information from any other source to supplement the personal information which Ackermans has about you;  (iii) the retention by Ackermans of your personal information for as long as permitted for legal, regulatory, fraud prevention and marketing purposes; (iv) Ackermans using your personal information to send you information about products, services, and special offers of the various companies in the Pepkor group that may be of interest or value to you.

  14. You can choose to be excluded from direct marketing by notifying Ackermans in writing or by registering a block on any registry which Ackermans is bound by law to recognise. Ackermans will not charge you a fee to update this request on its systems. Ackermans will give effect to any changes requested by you as soon as reasonably possible.
