This fast-rising star has a killer smile and looks to match, so it’s no wonder that Boitumelo Thulo is named one of SA’s “It Girls”.

Born in Potchefstroom and raised by her grandparents, Boity has made a name for herself in South Africa's entertainment and modelling scene. Already a seasoned veteran on television, she also has an impressive modelling portfolio.

South Africa first fell in love with Boity when she appeared in a Wimpy commercial in March 2010. More commercials followed for DSTV Africa and MiWay before appearing in a string of television shows. She presented the educational show, Crib Notes on DSTV, worked on SABC1's The Media Career Guide as well as DSTV's 10 over 10. She currently presents her own show – Zoned – every Thursday at 6.30 pm.

Boity is the brand ambassador for Iman Cosmetics Africa and models for local clothing label, Head Honcho. She has also featured in cover shoots for local and international magazines, and remains as popular as ever – with a social media following totalling more than 70 000 on Twitter and over 30 000 on Facebook.

As a goodwill ambassador for Thusa A Girl Child – a charity organisation dedicated to helping young girls who were raised in extreme poverty – Boity gives her time and effort to draw attention to this worthy cause.

With so much going for her, Boity sees herself working towards leaving a positive legacy that instils love in people. "I want to leave behind a legacy of compassion and freedom. I just want to make it seem cool to be positive, motivated, unashamed of your dreams and never allowing people to dictate what you should & should not believe in, what you should and shouldn't like, love, dream about, aspire towards.”
